#Proverb-3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.[a]
I am excited for all that this new year has to offer. I extend my prayers and hopes that this upcoming year finds you well and happy. My husband and I always tell our adult children that above all we want them to know the love of Christ and to be happy exactly where they are at.
These few verses are a powerful reminder that all we need to do is trust in God, submit to what he asks and our path will be straight. He also promises to take care of all our needs. Beyond this he has an incredible place waiting for us when our earthly adventure is over. So why do we even second guess ourselves and start to let worry creep in?
I am not pointing a finger in any direction except at myself. Every year I start out wanting to just hand all those cares over. The world starts to settle in and I get complacent and then I start to micromanage God. These are the verses I come back to time and time again for a reality check. I have memorized them and now they do bring peace and it is incredible!
It is my prayer that you take some time to refocus your eyes on Christ and remember that we just have to trust in our heavenly father. He is there to love us, guide us, comfort us, celebrate with us, and so much more. He loves us and even though we do not deserve this love…it is ours!
